For baking and the grand-salad bowl. This bowl is the largest in the series of 4 stacking bowls designed by Sori Yanagi. The bowl is designed in 1960 and three decades later Yanagi decided to add the strainer to make it easy to wash vegetables and salad draining the water.
The kitchen tools are produced in Niigata, a region facing the Sea of Japan, long famous for the quality of its stainless steel and its metal-working skills.
