Meticulously finished to a precision of 1/100mm, the edges of the opal glass cube demonstrate craftsmanship of the very finest. Each light is a masterpiece. The layer of opal glass on the outside guarantees the best possible lighting properties, the 5mm layer of crystal glass beneath creates unexpected and interesting lighting effects in the contours of the cube.
The invisible, innovative sensor technology inside detects movement of the hand and responds intuitively. An integrated memory chip activates the last selected lighting scenario when the light is switched on again. The temperature of every single one of the 24 Philips 3W high-power LEDs is constantly monitored, ensuring that the LEDs never reach a critical temperature.
Yet EYES not only glows with its aesthetic and functional aspects. It is exceptionally energy-efficient and has a maximum LED output of 24W. Compared with a conventional light bulb (>100W), this is extremely low. But for an LED light, it's a huge amount, providing really useful and pleasant light. The light itself is held by a steel stand finished with a rubberised soft-touch surface developed especially for senses EYES. Although robust, the stand is completely unobtrusive. Feeling soft and warm, the coating is ultra-matt and timelessly elegant. The cord of the EYES light was also developed specifically for this new product. It is reduced to the pure function it performs. The cord also forms part of the design and is matched to the stand in terms of its matt finish and overall appearance to produce the calming impression of a visual unit. From an aesthetic aspect, nothing is added to the light head but the cord. The new senses EYES range turns function into an experience. It fulfils the desire for individuality. EYES satisfies a longing for the steadfast, credible and authentic, giving unique expression to the honesty of its material.
