To decant means to re-pour. A wine that is poured into a carafe around an hour before being served, will open itself, because the aroma and flavour are awoken upon contact with oxygen. At the same time, the wine presents its colour in the most beautiful manner. The Grand Cru carafes are a stylish way to present wine. Pour the wine through the Grand Cru wine funnel into the carafe. The classic cone shape offers the Grand Cru carafe a low center of gravity with good balance. The vertical lines in the glass secure a good grasp.
Decanting wine in to the carafe creates an improved taste experience. The carafes have been designed so that the Grand Cru wine pourer, wine stoppers, wine funnel and wine thermometer can be used with them. All of the carafes also fit the Grand Cru coasters.
The small carafes are also ideally suited for oils and vinegar together with Erik Baggers Salad oil pourer.
The Grand Cru carafes are made from stainless steel and clear glass without lead, that enable the beautiful colour of the wine to be viewed and enjoyed.
