Claritas is the first lamp ever designed by Vico Magistretti and Mario Tedeschi, it was presented at the 1947 VIII Triennale in Milan. Claritas was designed in response to a contest to develop a new post-war concept of "Domestic Living". The elementary technology used to manufacture the lamp was intentional as it helped convert war-industry to domestic use.
The reflector has a painted white interior. Provides direct task and ambient illumination. Inline on/off foot switch.
