The reasons for the Finnish designer Harri Koskinen to name this pretty rack for pencils and memos after the Norwegian capital are obscure. But it is perfectly clear that he thereby created an aesthetic, functional storage utensil for any desk.

Both the rings and the reed are made of beech wood.
