Wall mirror with glass frame.

Size: 80 x 72 cm.

Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas have produced their rounded scalene triangle shape in a wall mirror made from two parts, one a coloured glass fixed to the wall and the other, a 4 mm thick mirror, overlaid on the first and freely rotating. The fixed, rearmost part is made of 6 mm thick heat-folded, hardened glass with a chamfered border. The wall-attachment system is particularly carefully designed and is made of plates and components the same shape as the mirror. The rotation system enhances the value of the "Colombina" shape because in the rotation the two shapes, fixed and mobile, create a continuos variation of the whole that is very clearly perceptible, especially when more than one mirror is mounted on the same wall.
